Laura is a Reader in Organisational Behaviour at the University of Liverpool. Her research centres on the intersection of work and family, with particular focus on daily work–family practices, routines and decision-making. She also examines the influence of gendered norms and the impact on organisational diversity and inclusivity. This has included research exploring the conflicting work-family ideals experienced by single mothers and work advocating flexible working for lone parents and blended families as they navigate times of transition. Her research has been published in journals such as Human Relations and the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
