Martyn is a senior lecturer in Management at University of Liverpool Management School and a senior fellow at Advance Higher Education. Martyn’s research interests concern the working experiences of men with a specific interest in the work family experiences of fathers. His research utilises ethnographic methods and draws heavily from symbolic interactionism as a way to contextualise and understand lived experiences of the fathers he works with. His research has been published by leading professional bodies such as the Law Society and Legal Care.
