Caroline Gatrell is Professor of Organisation Studies at University of Liverpool Management School. Her research centres on work, family and health, which she explores from a socio-cultural perspective. This has included exploring the experiences of both mothers and fathers, as they combine parenting and paid work. Caroline is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Fellow of the British Academy of Management. In 2020 she was awarded the British Academy of Management Research Medal. Caroline is presently General Editor of the Journal of Management Studies and Chair of the Research Committee, Chartered Association of Business Schools.
